Wiedersberg, Dolores A.
On July 16, 2011, Dolores A. Wiedersberg died peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She will be remembered at a visitation at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. Private inurnment will take place in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Dolores was born Dec. 22, 1927, in Cedar Rapids, to Lawrence C. and Lillian Esther (Elsbury) Thillen. On June 5, 1948, she married Otto F. Wiedersberg Jr. He died in 1982.
Dolores is survived by her daughter, Arlene Brant, and a sister, Bernice Holmes, both of Cedar Rapids. Survivors also include her grandchildren, Ryan (Rebecca) Brant and Adrienne Brant (fiance, Aaron Ruther); as well as their father, Dennis Brant.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a brother, Charles J. Thillen.
Dolores will be remembered as a woman who took pride in caring for her home and living independently. She had a talent for home decorating. She always took an interest in the activities of her family and was an avid golfer.
A heartfelt thank you to the 5C nurses, St. Luke's Hospice workers and chaplains, as well as to the caregivers at Heritage Nursing Home and Rehab Center. Your care and concern helped to guide us through this very difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions be made to St. Luke's Hospice.
