John Mathew Frasher, 72, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Per John's wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Crema-tion Service.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra; three daughters, Kim (Brian) McGlynn of Marion, Caryn (Andy) Cox of Dubuque and Kristen (Tom) Miller of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Drew Cox, Adrian Freiburger, Owen McGlynn, Rian McGlynn and Cortney Brown; three great-grandchildren, Max, Jude and Harper; siblings, Betty Peterson, Kathleen Crouse and David (Irene) Frasher; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
John was born June 12, 1943, in Cedar Rapids to William and Lucy (Minis) Frasher. He married Sandra Weeks on Nov. 4, 1961, at St. Joseph Church in Marion, Iowa.
John was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 1362, while he worked at Rockwell Collins as a machinist for 37 years.
The family requests no flowers. Any memorials may be directed to UnityPoint Hospice – St. Luke's.
