Siex, Helen
Helen Siex, 87, of Marion, formerly of Phoenix, died Thursday, May 2, 2013, in St. Luke's Hospital. Services: Private. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include a son, Jerry (Judy) Siex of Portland, Ore.; a daughter, Nancy Leach of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Kim (Dusty) Minor, Christina (Roy) Rasmussen both of Cedar Rapids, Carrie (James) Oliver of Hamilton, Ill. and Anthony Siex of Central City; and four great grandchildren, Jordon, Cheyenne, MaKenzie and Denym.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Siex; her parents; a brother; and a sister.
Helen was born Jan. 8, 1926, in Wyoming, Iowa, the daughter of Ben and Ina (Kerr) Warren. She married Robert L. Siex on July 27, 1946, in Sterling, Ill. Helen was a registered nurse working at St. Luke's Hospital for over 20 years and was a member of the Aquarelles Swim Club. She enjoyed traveling and wintering in Arizona.
