Richards, Marie Linn
Funeral services for Marie Linn Richards, 93, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Tipton, who died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, will be held Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m. at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, with the Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with Easter Star services at 4 p.m. Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery.
Marie was born June 22, 1918, the daughter of Paul K. and Mildred May Linn Richards, in Tipton, Iowa. She was a graduate of Tipton High School and Tipton Junior College. Marie was employed as Deputy Clerk of United States Bankruptcy Court for 35 years.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Cedar Rapids, and Malta Chapter Cedar Rapids No. 415 OES.
She is survived by her cousin, Betty Linn of Tipton.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
