Reuter, Margaret B.
TIPTON - Margaret B. Reuter, 92, of Tipton, died in the quiet hours of the night on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, in Cedar Manor Nursing Home, Tipton. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 17, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Fry Funeral Home. A time of sharing and paying respect for Margaret will take place from 9 a.m. until the service begins at 11 a.m. Burial rites will follow in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. A luncheon will be hosted for family and friends in the dining room of the funeral home.
Margaret was born Oct. 7, 1917, in Cedar County, west of Tipton. She was the daughter of Fred and Mina (Hass) Kroger. In her youth Margaret attended Tipton schools and was a member of the graduating class of 1934. On Nov. 25, 1935, Margaret was united in marriage to Paul Leonard Reuter at St. John's Evangelical Reformed Church in Tipton. She was a homemaker and worked in the kitchen at Cedar Manor for 10 years. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, past Tipton Moose Lodge, the Rebekka's various card clubs and the Tipton Senior Dining Center.
Margaret is survived by her son, Paul Reuter Jr. and wife Valerie of Winnipeg, Manitoba; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989; two daughters, Patricia Meixner and Betty Trevathan; brother, Harlan Kroger; and great-grandson, Blake Holcomb.
Memorials may be made to Cedar Manor Nursing Home, Tipton.
