‘Inept’ Congress frustrates reader

I am sick and tired of decades of Congress failing to fix the immigration problem. I blame both Democrats and Republicans equally.
Congress is so inept that it rarely passes any meaningful legislation. Just look at how many times lawsuits are filed and the courts are left to settle the issues. This is not the way the three branches of government are supposed to work.
Why doesn't the legislative process work like it is supposed to work? The answer is that members of Congress are more concerned with keeping their jobs over what is good for the American people. This problem never will be resolved until we have term limits. I can only dream.
