CR casino would be a mistake

Let's assume for some reason the Iowa Gaming Commission vetoes a license for a Cedar Rapids casino. Will the group of investors put up their mega millions to build a legitimate business or factory where 400 employees could earn an honest living by the sweat of their brow?
When Cedar Rapids built the U.S. Cellular Center, it was not big enough to draw the big acts, so it struggled. To build the largest casino in Cedar Rapids in an already oversaturated market would be an equal blunder. And to build it in the proposed location could create a traffic nightmare that drives away customers.
Casinos through their own greed and an oversaturated market have gone from a give and take to mostly just take. Five to seven more years - that's how long it will probably take for the “walking dead” gamblers to awaken to the casino scam.
If the Gaming Commission does approve the Cedar Rapids casino, it might made a good place for a drive-in theater in several years.
