Letter: Veteran touched by Honor Flight

My husband, Don, went on the May 18 Honor Flight and said it was wonderful. He also said having the band, the Knights of Columbus, the Boy Scouts and huge crowd of people he didn't know, plus a few friends and family, was one of the best parts of the flight.
There was even a daughter, Kathy, who flew in that afternoon to surprise him. His daughter, Carrie, who was his guardian on the trip, agreed that the fabulous welcome home and thank you for your service made the whole event extra special. Thanks, Cedar Rapids.
