Clifford Leroy Horak, 85, of Riverside, Iowa, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Father Charles Fladung officiating. Calling hours will begin noon Sunday, Dec. 23, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home, where the family will be present to receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Interment will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for the Halcyon House Good Samaritan Fund or Sonshine Ministries in Washington, Iowa. Online condolences may be sent for Cliff's family through the web at www.jonesfh.com.
Survivors include his six children, Peg Rogers of Washington, Iowa, Cheryl Horak of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jon (Lindsey) Horak of Wellman, Iowa, James (Tammi) Horak of Riverside, Iowa, Sue (Brian) Donaldson of Wellman, Iowa and Jerry Horak of Riverside, Iowa; nine grandchildren, T.J. Rogers of Tiffin, Iowa, Cameron Rogers of Tiffin, Iowa, Mikayla Rogers of Washington, Iowa, Jesi and Jacob Donaldson of Wellman, Iowa, Louis Horak of Riverside, Iowa, Zachary Willman of Riverside, Iowa and Andrew Horak and Anna Horak of Wellman, Iowa. Also surviving are his sister, Patricia (Dale) Bruegge of Washington, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Barbara Thomann of Riverside, Iowa and Alberta Thomann of Richland, Iowa; brother-in-law, Joseph Janecek of Riverside, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
