Jorita A. Jones, 87, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, at Terrace Glen Village, Marion, Iowa.
A memorial service celebrating Jorita's life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with Certified Celebrant Julie Freese officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the chapel on Monday.
Survivors include her daughters, Karen (Curt) Jamieson of Robins, Jan (Rick) Netolicky and Pamela (Tom) Kurtz, both of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Michele (Bruce) Menzel, Bryan (Jessica) Netolicky, Greg (Emily) Netolicky, Chad (Kelly) Netolicky, Zach (Emily) Naggatz, Travis (Lindsey) Naggatz, and Austen (girlfriend, Chelsea Moss) Naggatz; great-grandchildren, Jae, Ty, Sophia, Cooper, Gus, Hank, Max, Lincoln, Aleah, Tyler and Jameson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Vernon, in 2013.
Jorita Ann Skipworth was born June 14, 1931, in Berryville, Ark., the daughter of Luther and Faye (Lewis) Skipworth. On Oct. 17, 1955, she married Vernon Jones in Kaufman, Texas. She always will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed.
