Lottie Volesky, 93, of Shueyville, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at The Gardens of Cedar Rapids. Celebration of Life services will be at
10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW, Cedar Rapids. Burial will take place at Shueyville Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Brosh Chapel.
Lottie was born Sept. 15, 1924, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Frank Edward and Frances Mary (Oska) Zaspal. She married Roman Joseph Volesky on June 21, 1944, at Czech Reformed Church in Cedar Rapids.
Lottie is survived by her husband, Roman, of 73 years; children, Ronald (Carol) Volesky and Karen (Dr. David) Wilson; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
Memorials may be directed to the Swisher Volunteer Fire Department or Shueyville United Methodist Church.
