Patsy was born April 30, 1934, in Monticello, and was the daughter of Rudolph "Pat" Seehusen and Esther McDonald Seehusen. Patsy graduated from Mechanicsville High School with the Class of 1951. Patsy was united in marriage to James "Jimmy" Richard Miller on Aug. 23, 1952. Patsy and Jimmy worked on the farm together raising their two daughters, Lou Ann and Wendy. She worked as a dispatcher for the Cedar County Sheriff's Office and as a waitress/cook at the Mechanicsville Sale Barn and raised her grandchildren. Patsy was a volunteer at the EAA Airshow in Oshkosh, Wis., for over 45 years. Patsy was a member of the Mechanicsville United Methodist Church and Women's Auxiliary.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Jimmy Miller of Mechanicsville; her daughters, Lou Ann (David) Cook of Sebago, Maine, and Wendy (Kevin) Bird of Springville, Iowa; her son-in-law, Howard (Beth Doyle) Siver of Mechanicsville, Iowa; four grandchildren, Trent Siver (Dawn Sander), Kolter Siver, Rachel King (Kyle Koth) and Taylor Bang (Jamie Mulry); and her great- granddaughter, Zoe King.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Clifford Seehusen, Charles "Chick" Seehusen and Steve Seehusen.
A memorial fund has been established in her memory.
Patsy loved all of her many friends and family. Mushroom hunting was her favorite thing to do. She also loved to play cards, dance and spend time in her backyard that Howard maintained for her. She always enjoyed her visits from darling friend, Peggy, and the late Keith Beck; generally a card game always ensued. She loved her Iowa Hawkeyes, her flowers, and neat trinkets that Wendy brought home to her from all over the world, and to spoil her great-granddaughter, Zoe.
Patsy always liked to plan ahead and she had close friend, Robert "Skinny" Jilovec, make her casket.
