Public safety more important than game

It's Mother's Day and there are storms. KCRG-TV9 obviously breaks into local programming when the weather turns so severe that there are tornadic threats. It's to be expected and it's welcomed, obviously. I don't know if this is sad or not, but I was not surprised to see some people lamenting them doing so, all because it interrupted basketball.
Shame on you for thinking watching people throw a ball through a metal hoop is more serious than something that could end a life. Shame on you for thinking a local network should make its decisions on when to break into broadcasting based on the same idiotic guidelines as yours are. I like my shows just as much as these people their sports, but there's a point where real life is way more important.
