IOWA CITY - A lost season did not mean a lost opportunity for Dani Craig.
The junior from Iowa City West has orally committed to play basketball at Cal State Fullerton.
She will join the Titans squad for the 2015-16 season.
'Cal State Fullerton is a place that I liked because they are an up-and-coming program and they really believed in me even though I had my injury,” Craig said in a release.
Craig missed her entire junior season after suffering a torn ACL in a jamboree a week before the regular season began.
West finished 12-11.
As a sophomore, Craig helped guide the Women of Troy to the state tournament with an 18-6 record. She averaged 11 points and 4 assists per game and earned second-team all-MVC honors.
'Dani is a very smart basketball player who ... seemed to be under the radar because of her injury,” said West Coach B.J. Mayer. 'She can contribute to the team by scoring and getting her teammates involved with her decision making.”
Fullerton was 12-18 last season and is a member of the Big West Conference.
