This holiday season, I would like to express my gratitude for my school, Iowa Connections Academy. Throughout all of life's unexpected moments, Iowa Connections Academy has always been there to help me pull through it all. When dealing with health issues and trying to navigate new medical diagnosis, labs, prescriptions, and more, the staff always prioritized my health and provided accommodations that allowed me to excel.
During my good days I have the ability to work ahead and complete however many classes I wish, and I know that during my bad days I can take the time I need to care for myself and recharge. Without the flexible schedule and caring staff, I wouldn't have succeeded. I will be forever be thankful.
In eight years I have met so many wonderful students and teachers. My conversations with teachers are some that I'll never forget, and there have been many times where seemingly unimportant words or actions from them were just what I needed to keep my head up.
Words truly cannot describe how much these individuals have touched my life. I've made friends with fellow students that have stuck with me through thick and thin - we've laughed together, cried together, and share many wonderful memories. I truly don't know what I'd do without them, and it's all thanks to Iowa Connections Academy. This school has allowed me to discover friends which I firmly believe I will hold close for the rest of my life.
