Carol Catherine (Welter) Ames of Murfreesboro, Tenn., formerly of La Crosse, Wis., lost her battle with breast cancer Nov. 24, 2011. Funeral Mass: 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at St. Patrick's Church, Monti. No flowers please.
She is survived by her spouse, Robert; her mother, Geraldine (Hennessey) Welter; her sons: Rob (wife Marlita), grandsons Calvin and Brandon, of Kennesaw, Ga., and Jeremy (spouse Taka Ariga), of Washington, D.C.; her daughter, Melissa (husband Bryan Wenger), grandson Cole, and granddaughter Emily, of Franklin, Tenn.; her sisters: Joanne Alvis, Galena, Ill.; Sharon Yaeger, Brookfield, Wis.; Mary Welter, West Dundee, Ill.; Janet Welter, Cape Coral, Fla.; and Marguerite Welter, Riverwoods, Ill.; her brothers: William, Central City; Robert, Greeley, Colo.; Richard, Cape Coral, Fla.; Patrick, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Donald, Cape Coral, Fla.; Stephen, Coggon; Daniel, Newbury Park, Calif.; Francis, Masonville; and John, Fort Myers, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald.
