Bine, Sandra S.
Sandra S. Bine, 72, of Marengo, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at First United Methodist Church, Marengo, with the Rev. Delbert Rankin officiating. Inurnment will be in Koszta Cemetery, rural Marengo. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo.
Memorials may be contributed to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Laurence R. Bine; her children, Laurie Madoerin (Dennis O'Donnell) of Marengo, Diane Shawver (Dave) of Tipton and Daniel Bine (Theresa) of Marengo; seven grandchildren, Shelby Dains (Bradley), Sarah Madoerin, Jacob Madoerin, Logan Bine, Amelia Shawver, Jessica Bine and Matthew Shawver; and two great-grandchildren, Kaylin and Avery Dains.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jeffrey Bine; two brothers, E. Leroy Reinhard and E. Lynn Reinhard; two nieces, Alayne Reinhard and Lynette Bomar; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Hasselmann.
Sandra Sue Reinhard was born Sept. 24, 1937, in Gladbrook, Iowa, the daughter of Earl H. and Lora Oaks Reinhard. She graduated from Gladbrook High School in 1955 and married Laurence R. Bine on June 17, 1956, in Gladbrook. Following her marriage, Sandra was employed for a year as a secretary for DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago. They eventually settled in Marengo, where Sandra was employed for 20 years at the Iowa County Clerk of Court office. She retired Jan. 31, 2002. She continued to work as a volunteer in the clerk's office until April 2009.
