Francis L. "Frank" Wagner, 88, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, at his home. Services at 1 p.m. on Monday, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a visitation at 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah; three sons, Robert (Cheryl) of Cedar Rapids, Bruce (Phyllis) of Marion and Brian (Debbie) of Waterloo; and one daughter, Lynn (Bill) Congleton of Cedar Rapids. He also is survived by 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Douglas; one brother; and one sister.
Frank was born on Nov. 11, 1930, in Garden City, S.D., the son of LeRoy and Alice (Ranney) Wagner. He married Beulah C. Tonsager on Feb. 19, 1950, in Wyoming, Iowa.
Frank worked in maintenance, both at First National Bank for several years and later at Cummins Central Power. He retired from there after more than 20 years of service.
Frank enjoyed pitching horseshoes, woodworking, watching the Hawkeyes, and especially the time spent with his beloved family and friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
