Mary Kay Hellman, 78, of Marion, died Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Unity Point St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 13, in Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family.
Mary Kay was born on April 27, 1937, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Sabert P. and Kathryn Rose (Berry) Hellman. She graduated in 1955 from St. Mary's High School in Waterloo. Mary Kay retired as a blueprint file clerk from General Dynamics, San Diego, Calif., after 33 years. After she retired, she moved to Marion. Mary Kay enjoyed her dogs, Molly and Riley.
Mary Kay is survived by her brother, Robert (Betty) Hellman Sr. of Waterloo; her nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Carol Barnhart and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sabert and Kathryn Rose Hellman.
