Fort Atkinson
Herb Rausch, 99, of Fort Atkinson, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at the Barthell Eastern Star Home in Decorah. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at St. John's Catholic Church, 201 Oak St., Fort Atkinson, with the Rev. Kyle Digmann presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, and on Thursday morning after 9:30 a.m., at Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, Chekal Chapel, Fort Atkinson. There will be a rosary at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Herb is survived by his wife, Christine Rausch, Decorah; two children, Mary (Steve) Chamberlin, Cedar Rapids, and John M. (Carla) Rausch, Waucoma; two grandsons, Jason (Jessica) Rausch, Omaha, Neb., and Jeremy (Toni) Rausch, North Liberty; and five great-grandchildren, Madison and Colton Rausch and Jacob, Myah and Jaxson Rausch.
