Roland Saeugling, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at St Luke's Hospital. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday with memorial service following at Noelridge Park Church, 1147 Clifton St. NE, by Pastor Shawn Barr.
Roly was born March 13, 1932, in Guttenberg, Iowa, the son of Harold and Cecilia (Petsche) Saeugling. He grew up in Dubuque and graduated from the Iowa School for the Blind in Vinton. On July 30, 1960, he married LaVerna Hall in Evansdale. They lived in Cedar Rapids. Roly was a piano tuner and a talented rug weaver.
Survivors include his wife, LaVerna; children, Robert, Rolanda, Rebecca (Alan) and Richard (Rachel); grandchildren, LaRonda, Cey, Patrick, Cade and Chandler; and siblings Millie, Patty, Paul, Jean and Sandi.
Preceeding him in death were his parents, 11 siblings and granddaughter, Sandra.
