LeShun Daniels made a couple Illinois tacklers miss, then stayed on his feet to get in the end zone after for a 50-yard touchdown run to put the Hawkeyes up three scores.

Wes Lunt's pass was picked off by the Iowa cornerback at the Illinois 44 with 4:02 left in the 3rd.

Iowa receiver Riley McCarron took a punt 55 yards straight up the middle of the field, untouched to the end zone to put Iowa up 7-0.
IOWA FUMBLE
The Hawkeyes finally got some offense going and appeared to have a coring drive when Akrum Wadley busted a 4th-and-2 run 19 yards to the Illinois 3.
But Wadley fumbled at the end of the run, stripped by Tre Watson and recovered by Illinois at the 1.

ILLINOIS INTERCEPTION
Iowa came out throwing on its first drive into the wind. After a near interception on first down, C.J. Beathard threw slightly behind Riley McCarron on third down.
The ball went through McCarron's hands and right to Illinois' Dillan Cazley near midfield.
The Illini, of course, then punted. That's No. 8 combined in the game.
End 1st: Iowa 0, Illinois 0
Iowa could not take advantage of a 25-plus mph wind at its back in the first 15 minutes as the opening quarter ended scoreless.
The Hawkeyes gained just 49 yards and punted three times. The Illini punted on all four of their drives, totaling 58 yards of offense.
