Larry D. Shalla, 77, of Washington, Iowa, formerly of Riverside, Iowa, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, at Halcyon House in Washington.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home, with the Rev. Herb Yoder officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment with military honors conducted by Richmond AMVETS Post 107 will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, Iowa.
Memorials have been established for the Halcyon House Good Samaritan Fund or the Shriners Children's Hospital.

He is survived by three daughters, Laurie Shalla of Redondo Beach, Calif., Beth Stuck and husband Steve of Des Moines, Iowa, and Pam Newman and husband Don of Riverside, Iowa; and two granddaughters, Meghan and Sarah Newman of Riverside, Iowa.
