Green, Frances R.
Frances R. Green, 95, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, March 11, 2013, in her home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 14, at First Assembly of God Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Rick Gail. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements with Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Sandi (Mark), Fran and John (Carla); grandchildren, Jean, Scott, Andrew, Sherry, Jimmy, Jesse, Michelle, Lu, Phillip, Carolyn and Michael; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Jim and Liz (Jack); granddaughter, Sarah; and brother, Raymond.
Frances was born Feb. 2, 1918, the daughter of Earl and Mabel (Thomas) Darling in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She worked at Dale's Fruit Market as the manager for 31 years.
Frances was a devoted member of First Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, baking and most of all loved spending time with her family.
