Gary Benesh
There will be a Celebration of Life event for Gary Benesh on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Wapsipinicon State Park, Anamosa, in the Rotary Lodge. Gary passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, after a short illness.
Gary loved the out-of-doors, ecology, the biological sciences and his time teaching his many students over the years at Franklin Middle School and Washington High School in Cedar Rapids. He would appreciate the choice of location to remember his life and experiences.
His family asks any memorial contribution be made to a non-kill animal shelter in your area; with his love of animals, we know he would wholeheartedly support this request.
