GARY L. UMBDENSTOCK

Gary L. Umbdenstock, 66, of Vinton, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at Virginia Gay Hospital, Vinton. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point.
Gary is survived by his son, Chris (Roxanne) Umbdenstock; grandsons, Tyler and Dylan; nieces and nephews, Angie, Amber and Andrew, and their families; as well as several cousins.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marion; brother, Doug Umbdenstock, and ex-wife, Shirley (Mellick) Umbdenstock.
Gary was born April 4, 1950, the son of Robert and Marion (Stoll) Umbdenstock. He worked at Colonial Bakery in Cedar Rapids and later he worked as an independent carpenter. Gary enjoyed hunting and fishing on the family farm and loved living the "high life."
