Bolin, Barbara A.
Barbara A. Bolin, 62, of Vinton, died suddenly on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at her home at Windsor Manor in Vinton. A Celebration of Life service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at Vinton Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Fred Darbonne officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday also at the church. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton.
Barbara was born April 10, 1950, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of W.J. “Jay” and Susan Alice Buchanan Bolin. She received her GED through Kirkwood Community College.
Barbara worked at the Vinton Country Club and also walked dogs. She did custodial work at Farmer's Savings Bank in Vinton for 25 years, retiring in 2007 to help care for her parents.
Barbara was a member of Vinton Presbyterian Church and TTT. She enjoyed painting barn quilts and was an animal lover. Barbara was a very social person and loved spending time with her family and friends, particularly her niece, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Barbara is survived by her twin brother, W.J. “Bill” (Patty Meixner) Bolin of Vinton; sister, Cindy (Mike) Elwick of Vinton; five nephews, William J. Bolin IV of Long Beach, Calif., Kevin (Jennifer) Bolin of Fenton, Mo., Jeff (Rachel Freund) Bolin of St. Louis, Mo., Chris (Julie) Elwick of Decatur, Ill., and Brian (Kristi) Elwick of Vinton; one niece, Dawn (Tim) Rall of Neenah, Wis.; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Karra, Kaila and Koen Elwick, Sam, Simon and Sydney Rall, and Madison, Cyrus and Victoria Elwick.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
