Charles Arthur Malmgren, 68, of Blairstown, passed away suddenly Monday, Nov. 9, 2015. Prayer service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, Blairstown Legion Hall, 102 Benton St. NE. Memorial visitation on Saturday, following the prayer service from 2:30 to 6 p.m.
Charles was born on March 22, 1947, to Arthur and Marilyn (Kizer) Malmgren in St. James, Minn. He married Wyona Lynn Klose on July 1, 1967, in St. James. Charles loved the outdoors, especially hunting deer in northern Minnesota.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Wyona; his four children, Rich (Jodi) Malmgren of Fargo, N.D., Mike (Holly) Malmgren of St. James, Minn., Amy Malmgren of Keystone and Lynette Malmgren of Davenport; four grandchildren, Mason, Michael, Maverick and Allison; his brothers, Ron and Jim Malmgren; and his sister, Fran Puterbaugh.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
