Kimm, Jon Henry 'Buck'
Jon Henry “Buck” Kimm, 49, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at his residence. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Blairstown Legion Hall, with Gene Spicer officiating. Interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown. Visitation also will be held at the Blairstown Legion Hall from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Jon Henry Kimm was born Jan. 3, 1963, in Marengo to Dale P. and Margaret Anne (Weaver) Kimm, and graduated from Benton Community High School in 1981. He was a partner in Kimm's Ready Mix Inc. in Blairstown.
Jon's greatest joy in life were his children and grandson. “Buck” loved fishing and ice fishing, and enjoyed his cars and his dogs. He was a very generous and giving man who was always willing to help his friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Abbie (Scott) Rathje of Shellsburg and Kylea (Zachary) Zmoos of Rexburg, Idaho; his grandson, Grayson Rathje; his future granddaughter, Ellie Zmoos expected in mid-October; his father, Dale P. Kimm of Keystone; his brother, Dale “Joe” (Corrine) Kimm of Blairstown; his stepsisters, Sharon (Ron) Snow of Fairfield Bay, Ark., and Pam (Marty) Foreman of San Diego, Calif.; his nieces, Danielle (Zachary) Schulte and their children, Jackson and Charlie, and Margaret “Maggie” Kimm, and his nephew, Dale Kimm Jr., all of Blairstown; and his ex-wife, Jerelyn.
Jon was preceded in death by his mother; his sister, Janet Kimm; two infant brothers, Rodney and Michael; his stepmother, Lois; his stepbrother, Ed Enderle; and his stepsister, Judy Griffin.
Phillips Funeral Home in Blairstown is in charge of arrangements.
