Patricia Jean Wiebold, 86, died Dec. 28, 2018, at MeadowView Memory Care Village in Cedar Rapids.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown with the Rev. Jeff Schanbacher officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at the church on Monday. The casket will remain closed at all times. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Blairstown.
Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church or the Blairstown Public Library.
Patricia was born July 24, 1932, in Marengo, to Kenneth and Edna (Rundall) Simmons. She graduated from Blairstown High School in 1950. Patricia was united in marriage to Edward Martin Wiebold on Dec. 11, 1952, at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown.
Patricia worked for Amana Refrigeration for more than 20 years and later The Christmas Room at the Amanas. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown. Patricia enjoyed card club, gardening and cooking. She loved the library and was a dedicated mother and caretaker. Patricia enjoyed serving coffee and pie at the Youngville Café.
She is survived by her children, Dan (Deb) Wiebold of Arizona, Peggy (Dan) Musil of Ely, Jay (Melody) Wiebold of Cedar Rapids, Kristi (Terry) Haindfield of Highlandville, and Sandy (Brent) Niland of West Des Moines; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her sister, Joan Farrell of Anoka, Minn., and her sisters-in-law, Vonnie (Ed) Wilhelmi of Atkins and Gloria Stenzel of Marion.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Owen Rundall; and one sister in infancy.
