White earns Chris Street Award

Outgoing Iowa senior Aaron White earned the Chris Street Award at the team's awards banquet Monday night in Coralville.
White, a first-team all-Big Ten forward. ranks second in Iowa history for career points (1,859), third in rebounds (901) and crushed school marks for free throws (618) and attempts (800). He knocked down more free throws than any Big Ten player in the last 53 years. White was the only player in Iowa history to lead the team in rebounding four consecutive seasons.
The Chris Street Award is presented annually to a Hawkeye player, or players, who best exemplify Street's spirit, enthusiasm and intensity. Street died in a car accident in 1993.
The Hawkeyes finished 22-12 this season and won their first NCAA tournament game since 2001.
