Bonnie Marie Poulson, 83, of Swisher, died Saturday July 30, 2016, in the Solon Care Center from a short illness. A gathering will be held for family and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel.
Survivors include her sons, Mark (Debbie) Poulson of Shueyville and Todd (Rhonda) Poulson of Amana. Also surviving are four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her dog, Tater.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Poulson; and a brother, Charlie Bunten.
Bonnie was born Jan. 15, 1933, in Vinton, Iowa, the daughter of Harvey and Fern (Berry) Bunten. She married Richard Earl Poulson on April 16, 1955, in the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Bonnie was a machinist for Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids. She enjoyed biking, fishing, hunting and crossword puzzles. She also loved her family very much and cherished the time spent with them. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
