La Vonne (Bonnie) Nissen, 83, of La Quinta, Calif., formerly of Marion, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016. There will be no services.
Bonnie was born March 14, 1933, in Cushing, Iowa, where she met and married Harold Nissen. They were married for 65 years. Their first two years were spent on Air Force bases while Harold completed his enlistment. They raised their family in Placentia, Calif., and later lived in Illinois, Iowa and Arizona.
She is survived by her husband, Harold; son, Brian and his husband, Lawrence, of Rancho Mirage, Calif.; daughter, Janeen Davis and her husband, Tedd, of Longmont, Colo.; and two grandsons, Ian Davis of Portland, Ore., and Trevor Davis of Longmont.
