Meyer, Chase Michael
Chase Michael Meyer, 21, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories by Pastor B.J. Meyer. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Chase is survived by his father, Al (Donna) Meyer of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Nancy (Richard Mills) Caraballo of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Holly Nicole Meyer and Cecillia Jo Meyer of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Maxx Stone Meyer; grandparents, Dick and Dixie Fowler; grandmother, Alice Meyer; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard Meyer.
Chase was born Feb. 16, 1992, in Cedar Rapids and graduated from Kennedy High School. He enjoyed a variety of sports throughout his school years and participated in football, cross-country and wrestling. He worked at Lattice Communications as a fiber optics splicing manager.
He enjoyed boating, wake boarding, was an avid reader and was dedicated to fitness and body building.
Chase loved spending time with his siblings and in lieu of flowers, please consider a thoughtful memorial to the family that will be donated to the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization of Cedar Rapids and East Central Iowa in honor of Chase Meyer.
