Emmalee Jensen Jacobs, 18, of Urbana, died Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, in Ames. Family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at Center Point United Methodist Church. Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at Center Point-Urbana High School conducted by the Rev. Mike Ellson. Arrangements made by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point.
Survivors include her parents, Bradley and Ann (Gerdes) Jacobs of Urbana; siblings, Carlynn Jacobs of Waterloo and Dalton Jacobs of Ames; grandparents, Jim and Alice Jacobs of Allison and Jim and Carole Gerdes of Monona; aunts and uncles, Brian (Susie) Jacobs of Allison, Amy (John) Tharp of Waverly, Gayle (Bruce) Mielke of Waterloo, Lisa (Jeff) Woodman and Kurt (Darla) Gerdes, all of Monona; many cousins; and boyfriend, Cory Rhinehart of Center Point.
Emmalee was born July 8, 1997, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Bradley and Ann Jacobs. She graduated from Center Point-Urbana High School in 2015. Emmalee was co-valedictorian and was KWWL's Best of the Class. In high school, she was very active in volleyball, show choir and the math club. She worked at Kids Zone for after school care. Emmalee loved to read and watch scary movies. She also loved any popcorn, especially cheesy cheesy popcorn, pickles and cereal. She also enjoyed picnics, watching family videos, walks, but most of all she loved to learn. She had a very caring heart and loved to make people laugh.
