Rizor, Eleanor S. 'Ellie'
?Eleanor S. “Ellie” Rizor, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, June 16, 2011, in her home. Private family graveside services will be held at the Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, Ill. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her two daughters, Ann Rizor Dalton of Orland Park, Ill., and Mary Zawaski and husband Bill of Chicago; and two grandsons, Matthew and Benjamin Zawaski.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, L.E. “Red” Rizor on March 23, 2007.
Eleanor S. Berlin was born April 7, 1925, in New York City, N.Y., the daughter of Samuel and Toby Berlin. On Feb. 2, 1957, she married L.E. “Red” Rizor in Moline, Ill. Ellie worked as a secretary for 18 years at the Satterlee Co., Cedar Rapids.
Ellie was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
