Bonita J. Swails, 73, longtime resident of Iowa City, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, at Windmill Manor Care Center in Coralville. A memorial reception will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at First Presbyterian Church in Iowa City.

Bonita was born Nov. 1, 1944, in Washington County, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Lucille (Wince) Swails. Her family includes her daughter, Tammy Schroeder (Darin); two grandsons, Cullen and Logan Schroeder; and siblings, Jim Swails (Valerie), Judy Swails, Patty Grady, Keith Swails (Stephanie) and Robbin Swails.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Morrison; and a brother-in-law, Tim Grady.
