Schneiders, Valerie Ann
Valerie Ann Schneiders, 22, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Traer, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Traer with burial following at the Buckingham Cemetery in Traer. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Overton Funeral Home in Traer.
Valerie Ann Schneiders was born Sept. 11, 1990, in Waterloo, Iowa, daughter of Kit and LuAnn Hall Schneiders. Val received her education in Traer and graduated from North Tama High School in the Class of 2008. She continued her education at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo where she graduated with an administrative assistant degree. She worked at Menards, CBE Collection Agency in Cedar Falls and in September 2012, moved to Cedar Rapids where she was employed as a customer service rep for Infinity Contact Inc. Val's death came as a result of an automobile accident on Saturday evening, Aug. 10, 2013, at the age of 22 years.
In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bowling, shopping, collecting purses and cruising with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clifford and Alma Hall and Mary Schneiders; a nephew, David Johnson; a special friend; and special little girl.
She is survived by her father, Kit Schneiders; and her, mother LuAnn Schneiders, both of Traer; grandfather, LaVerne Schneiders of Gilbertville; two brothers, Michael (Cassie) Wendt of Burlington and Stephen Schneiders of Waterloo; one sister, April (Kelley) Johnson of Traer; one nephew, Jackson Wendt; and two nieces, Morgan Johnson and Carmen Wendt.
A memorial fund has been established in her name at Farmers Savings Bank in Traer.
