Ralph Edward Weber Jr., 72, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church, Independence, with the Rev. David Beckman officiating. Burial will be at a later date in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Independence. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, where a rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Thursday.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy J. Weber, Independence; two sons, Clark (Roxanne) Weber, Cedar Rapids, and Dean (Kelli) Weber, Waukee; four grandchildren, Drew and Ian, Cedar Rapids, and Addison and Maxx, Waukee; a great-grandson, Mason, Cedar Rapids; a brother, Eldon (Kathy) Weber, Cottage Grove, Minn.; and a sister-in-law, Teresa Weber, Taylor Ridge, Ill.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Barry Weber, in 1974; two sisters, Alberta Martin and Shirley Walsh; and a brother, Arnold Weber
