Freedom Festival sets rain, non-rain sites for Office Olympiad

The Freedom Festival's Office Olympiad, slated for Wednesday, now has an indoor site in case of rain.
The event is scheduled for noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday in Greene Square Park in downtown Cedar Rapids, weather permitting. Should the event encounter additional aquatic or aquatic-related events (including rain, thunderstorms, high winds, etc.) all events will be moved to the lobby of the Armstrong Center, 222 Third Ave. SE.
Food and beverages will be available at both sites from Papa John's Pizza, and additionally from the Center's Food Court should the event be forced inside.
The free event, in its second year, promises to be a laugh a minute for spectators, as well as participants. Seven teams have entered the competition. Additional teams will be accepted the day of the event, space permitting.
Pre-event warm-up exercises – lasting 15 seconds – will be led by Freedom Festival Executive Director Janet Wilhelm.
Closing and awards ceremonies will be held after the event at DC's Riverwalk Pub & Eatery, 401 First St. SE.
