Lorene "Lori" M. Holten-Wenger, 49, of Marion, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020. A burial and Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
Lori grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on the southeast side. She graduated Washington High School in 1988. Lori was a wonderful and amazing mother to three children, and a mother to other children as well. Lori loved being a stay-at-home mom and always put her children before herself. Aunt Lisa called her a grumpy baby the first year of her life. Lori loved to read books, collect cookie jars, unicorns and collect salt and pepper shakers, hundreds of them. Lori's favorite TV character is Marvin the Martian, favorite TV shows were "Supernatural" and "JTV" (jewelry television). Lori's favorite movie was the "Princess Bride," favorite band "Lynyrd Skynyrd," and favorite songs "Free Bird" and "Carry on my Wayward Son." Lori also loved her country and bluegrass music. Lori loved spending time with her family and all their yearly family trips. Lori was a great friend to many.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Wenger; children, Raymond Wenger, Christiana Wenger and Gwynevere Wenger; brother, Wade Holten; father, Martin Holten; and Steven Holten and Ariel Holten.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorna Holten.
