New Hires
Terri Doyle (see photo) joined Bankers Trust as assistant vice president, consumer services manager. Doyle was previously with Wells Fargo Bank.
Gosling & Co. in Manchester announced Ann Manson (see photo) of Manchester as a shareholder. Manson has been providing accounting and tax services in public practice for 13 years.
Dr. Patrick O'Grady (see photo) joined Pediatric Center. He was formerly affiliated with a pediatric practice in Lincoln, Neb., and Edmonds, Wash. O'Grady primarily will be practicing at Pediatric Center's Marion site, which will open Sept. 6.
The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation announced Vanessa Rogers (see photo) joined as interim director of marketing and communications. Rogers is founder and president of Vanessa Rogers Consulting Inc. Deb Orr (see photo) also joined the foundation as development assistant. Orr for the past four years she has provided customer-focused support to GCRCF's Development team.
Shive-Hattery hired Andrew Johnson (see photo) as a civil engineer intern in Iowa City, Jake Meineke (see photo) as a civil designer in Cedar Rapids and Matt Stoner (see photo) as controller/accounting group team leader in corporate accounting.
Annette Gantner (see photo) started at Geonetric in Cedar Rapids as account manager. She was previously at Erb's Technology.
Shuttleworth & Ingersoll in Cedar Rapids announce Kelly Cwiertny joined the firm as counsel. Cwiertny has a general practice including but not limited to environmental law, natural resources and energy matters.
Clark Buelt was named partner of New York Life Insurance Co.'s Cedar Rapids office. Buelt has worked for the past year as an agent. Billy Martin has been hired by New York Life as an agent for the company.
Promotions
Jennifer Shull was promoted to greenhouse manager with Culver's Garden Center and Greenhouse in Marion. Schull was previously greenhouse sales associates.
Mount Mercy University announced Vicky Smith (see photo) was promoted to vice president for administration. Smith joined Mount Mercy in 2009 as director of human resources. Scott Baumler (see photo) was named assistant vice president for enrollment management and dean of admissions. Baumler has served as admissions dean since 2010.
The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota board of trustees announced Mount Mercy University trustee Scott Lynch (see photo) has been elected to serve as the company's interim president and chief executive officer. Lynch previously served as senior vice president and chief legal officer of Blue Cross.
John Heavens (see photo) was promoted to consumer and real estate loan consultant at Dupaco Community Credit Union's Williams Boulevard branch in Cedar Rapids. Katie Palmer (see photo) was promoted to loan and business development consultant in the Manchester office.
F&M Bank, based in Manchester, promoted Keith Kramer (see photo) to executive vice president. Kramer joined the F&M team in 2004. Randy Johnson (see photo) moved up to executive vice president. Johnson has been with the bank since 2006.

Awards
Granite Transformations, the franchise division of Trend USA, named Des Moines and Cedar Rapids franchise owners Tom and Teresa Egli as the 2012 Franchisees of the Year. They also were awarded the President's Club Award, which honors franchise locations that have sales of $250,000 or more in any one month during 2011.
BERNINA of America honored its top dealers for 2011 who demonstrated exemplary sales, service and customer education. Among the Eastern Iowa dealers were Jill and Henry Reicks of Pine Needles Sewing Center in Cedar Rapids.
