Too much money being spent on Obamacare
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Nov. 14, 2013 3:36 pm
So far the so-called “rollout” of the Affordable Care Act has cost four times the original estimate put forth by the president. Include the TV ads promoting the act and four times is probably low. The convulsive spending is not over, far from it.
The computer problems go beyond glitches and are far from being fixed. We're talking millions of dollars that shouldn't have to be spent.
After all, the administration has had three years to get ready. Think of how this money (your money) could have been spent, say, for example, on pediatric cancer research. Incompetence and arrogance on the Potomac has granted itself immunity from it all. Are we fed up with all this? It seems not. Most Americans are much more concerned about the “big game” on Sunday than they are about their children and grandchildren's future.
