Letter: Sidewalks could be the safest choice

While biking to work I've seen cars blowing through stop signs and even red lights. Most cars are speeding, some excessively. Turn signal usage is hit and miss and I've seen angry and aggressive drivers endangering bicyclists, pedestrians and fellow motorists. If drivers are going to share the roads they need to obey the laws.
By the way, in Linn County it is legal to ride on all sidewalks except downtown Cedar Rapids. Sometimes the sidewalk is the safest choice. And bicyclists and pedestrians can and do get tickets.
