Joan J. Pallett, 78, of North Liberty, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2015. In accordance with Joan's wishes, she has been cremated and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held this coming spring.

Joan Joyce Wensorra was born June 28, 1937, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Roberto and Pauline C. (Heick) Wensorra. Joan graduated from West Branch High School with the class of 1956. She will be remembered as a fun, feisty woman who delighted in sharing her love of cooking with all who walked through her door.
Her family includes her daughters, Dee Lovig (Eric) of North Liberty, Kimberly Loya of Kansas City, Mo., and Dawn Lawson (Steve) of Loveland, Colo.; sisters, Kathy Scott of Hill City, Kan., and Anne Wentz of Coralville, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter; her beloved sister, Nancy Wright; and Nancy's husband, Richard.
