Think again before tearing up C.R. park

I am interested in keeping Greene Square Park simple and not elaborate that the few have in mind.
Cedar Rapids was founded by simple, plain pioneers years ago. Today many of our beautiful things of the past are being destroyed.
Some find it so easy to tear down the walls, buildings or usable things that have meaning and beauty so they can just change the designs spending thousands of dollars.
If they have money to spend, let them find ways to help the poor, the hunger programs, fix the streets that are in need of repair or perhaps build a nice recreation area at the casino's spot that would benefit people of all ages. Think again before Greene Square Park is torn up.
