Iowans who want to purchase fireworks now have several hundred in-state choices.
The Fire Marshal's office has issued 492 licenses to sell consumer fireworks to date to permanent and temporary sites, as of Tuesday, June 20. Sales at permanent sites began June 1, while sales at temporary sites began Tuesday, June 13. Sales are only permitted through July 8.
The office also released a list of those licensed locations.
It's important to note, though, that while these locations are licensed, it is not a guarantee of what or if they will sell.
To find out the closest location that has a retail fireworks license, search below by entering your address.
Note* The map is geocoding based on the address. There is a possibility some locations may be slightly off in their marker placement. Please send an email to news_online@thegazette.com if you notice any discrepancies.
