New extended-stay hotel coming to Coralville's Iowa River Landing
An extended-stay hotel planned for the Iowa River Landing District will offer 96 guest rooms with kitchenettes.
Jim Heifner from City's Edge Architecture told the Coralville City Council that the Homewood Suites by Hilton will target visitors who plan three- to seven-day stays.
The studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units will be spread out over five levels. The bottom level will contain retail spaces to be leased out.
Heifner said the project should be ready for bidding in mid-April and construction should start in early to mid-June.
