Sharol Jean Cain (Warner) came into this world on Aug. 27, 1938, to Truman and Dorothy Warner in Manly, Iowa. She was unexpectedly called to heaven on June 28, 2016.
She is survived by her siblings, Dave and Carol Warner; her five children, Michael Cain (Kim), Christy Salmon (Gart), Kathy Masterson (Joe), Patrick Cain (Laura) and Paul Cain (Denice); as well as 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many granddogs and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Truman and Dorothy Warner; brother, Truman (Bill) Warner Jr.; and sister, Patty Jo McConnell.
After high school, she joined the Navy and retired after 20 years of active and reserve duty. Sharol worked for Rockwell Collins and Lockheed until her retirement in Albuquerque, N.M.
Sharol had a wonderful sense of humor, a big heart and kind spirit. She loved to dance, play the piano and was an avid bowler.
She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and the lives of those she touched.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 410 N. Broadway St., Manly, IA 50456. Burial will follow the service.
Family and friends are invited to attend a lunch after services in the church activity center.
