Jesus is the top whistle-blower
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Apr. 7, 2014 3:17 pm
Recently, in Iowa news stories, whistle-blowers have been ridiculed for reporting incidents involving the separation of church and state. One story involved Bibles in a state-owned hotel and the other cited Christian art work on a fire truck. No regard was shown for the fall out from seemingly innocuous actions. One wonders if people would accept their school naming their basketball team the Sunni Shooters.
Why were whistle-blowers ignored when thousands of children lost their innocence and their future livelihood when coaches and church officials preyed upon them? Their motives and actions should have been taken seriously.
Personally, I believe that Jesus is the Great Whistle-Blower for the flock that I hang out with. You may express your preference publicly in this same open forum.
